How does this whole process work?
You get an instant quote on your Books, Textbooks, DVDs, CDs, VHS Tapes, Video Games, or Software by entering the ISBN for Books and Textbooks and the UPC for everything else and then clicking 'Get Prices'. On the quote page you change the drop-down box next to any books that are Teacher's/Instructor's Editions or International Editions. You can remove any items that you do not wish to sell for the quoted price, then click 'Check Out'. However, you must reach a minimum order value of $10 before you are able to continue past the quote page. On the following page you enter you payment information and either set up an account, log into an existing account, or continue without creating an account. Then you confirm your buyback details and click 'Submit Buyback'. Then you print your buyback list and our free shipping label. You can use our free shipping label to drop your shipment off at the post office, hand it to a mail carrier, or schedule a free pickup here: http://www.usps.com/shipping/carrierpickup2/

How long do I have to send in my items after getting a quote?

You have one week (five business days and a weekend) to send in your items. If more time than that has passed, please simply get a "fresh quote" by re-entering your items or, alternatively, email or call us and we'll be happy to take care of it for you. Otherwise we may have to give you the current buyback price on your items when they arrive, which could be less than you were originally quoted.

Do items need to meet any condition requirements?

Yes. Please see below. Also, please note that items which clearly do not meet the following requirements will not be paid for or returned. We do everything we can to avoid a situation where an item isn't paid as quoted and this is seldom an issue.

*** Books ***

Any book meets our criteria, as long as none of the following are an issue:

The ISBN you type in must be the one that is actually on/in the book.

Books cannot have moisture damage, severe binding damage, severe abuse to covers or page edges, such as significant scribbling, or loose or missing pages.

Any book that is to be 'filled out', such as Study Guides, Test Booklets, Activity Books, and Children's Books, cannot have any writing in them other than the owner's name, etc., even if the writing is erased.

Accompanying CDs and other materials do not have to be included, although we prefer that you include them if you can. The only exception is books that include a CD or DVD that is integral to the product’s usefulness, such as a fitness DVD and book combo package (this seldom applies to textbooks).

*** DVDs & CDs ***

DVDs & CDs must include their case (sets without slipcases are acceptable but are subject to a a 20% deduction in payment). Minor cracks on CD cases are fine, but DVDs/CDs with any cracks on the actual disc are not acceptable.

Minor surface scratches on DVDs & CDs is acceptable, but severe scratches are not. Discs must play perfectly.

We do not buy DVDs or CDs that state 'Promo', 'Promotional Copy', 'Not for resale', etc. anywhere on the disc, insert, or case.

*** VHS Tapes ***

VHS Tapes must play perfectly and not have any cracks or defects. The slipcases must be included (sets without slipcases are acceptable but are subject to a 20% deduction in payment).

*** Video Games ***

Minor surface scratches on Video Games on CD/DVD are acceptable, but severe scratches are not. Discs must play perfectly.

Games that do not include their original cases are subject to a 30% deduction in payment.

*** Software ***

Software does not have to be unopened, but it must not be registered and must include all original packaging and manuals.

Do you buy Ex-library books or Advance Copies?

Yes, we gladly accept ex-library books, but they are paid at 50% of the quoted price. Don't worry if they have a card pocket in the front or the front endpaper removed, or if they have various library-related stamps, as that is standard for withdrawn library books. We also pay 50% of the quoted price for Advance Reading Copies/Uncorrected Proofs/Unbound Galleys.

What DON'T you buy?

Any form of pornography, beit a Book, Movie, CD, Video Games, or Software (the 'Unrated Version' of popular movies is acceptable, but not 'Girls Gone Wild' videos or anything of that ilk.

What books are the best candidates for buyback?
Current textbooks, many non-current textbooks, some non-fiction, and some very new fiction titles.

One thing we almost never buy: ‘Mass Market Paperbacks’ (i.e., cheap paperbacks the size of the typical ‘romance novel’). Any other paperback is totally fine, though.

Can I combine multiple buybacks?
Yes, please do! We pay a base shipping charge for each package, so please combine multiple buybacks into as few boxes as possible so that we may continue to offer such outstanding buyback prices! You can include multiple sell lists in one package. We'll figure it out when the shipment arrives!

How quickly will I get paid?
We pay the day your shipment arrives at our warehouse! Check payments usually take just a few days to arrive and PayPal is immediate.

What about PayPal fees?
We cover all PayPal fees! You get every last penny of your payment. That makes PayPal the quickest and easiest payment option for buybacks.
